Hi,
I live in Toronto Canada and am descended from Hans Joachim Masch b. abt. 1761 in Ivendorf married Anna Elizabeth Starck b. 1761 in Hohenfelde. I have not made a direct connection between your line and mine (because I haven’t found birth record of Hans) but it is probable he is related to Johann Joachim Masch b. 1748 in Ivendorf m. Maria (Elizabeth?) Westendorf b.?1757 who I have as your ancestor like this:
their son: Johann Joachim or Johann Heinrich, b. 1786 d. 10 Dec. 1862 m. __Catharina Maria Jurris (of Bartenshagen?) married 5 Mar 1819
their first child:
Hans Joachim Heinrich b. 30 Aug? 1820
married Dorothea Sophia Gasch of Hanstorf 1853
etc. I made digital photos of records when I was researching films from the Family History library – parish records of Parkentin parish.
Let me know if you would like me to send you copies of what I have.

Searching for Schluens in Rostrock
Taken from book “ The Cat Spring Story – Agri Society dated 1956
Fritz Schluens and wife left Rostrock, Germany, because of crowded conditions and they longed to be with those who were giving them such enticing reports of America, They settled in the Cat Spring – Millheim region before 1850 and here they reared their five children, supporting themselves by farming and cattle raising.
Fritz Schluens was a lover of animals, partricularly of cattle. This characteristic has been born and instilled into the Schluens generation of Millheim up to the present time. Carl (Charles) Schluens of the second gerneration have some of the first Brahman cattle in this area, but it was his son, Fred, of the third generation who invested in the first registered Brahman bull in 1930.
The wife may have been Dorothea Stahlbohm.
We think the children were Marie, Dora, Charlotte, Friedrich, and John.
Any help from Germany will be appreciated.

I have done quick a bit of work on the Schluens tree because of the focus on my husband’s family. Its public on Ancestry.com and will come up if you do a search on fritz schluens on google, I believe. I know of three of his children: Henry, Charles and Charlotte „Lotty“. I have his wife as Maria Anna Dorothea Kloss.
Hope this helps!
