4 Gedanken zu „Familie Gann und Moldenhauer“

  1. I have seen spelling of family name as GERDS, and I found a marriage record for Anna GERD spelled as GERTZ. Did you simplify the last name spelling to GERD leaving the letter S off as in GERDS?

Your alternative spellings of surnames does not show any GERDS. The website Family Search has this spelling for all.

  2. I was going to ask what you are talking about, because I have no GERD in my database, but then I clicked on Translate … It looks like Google is shorten all the GERDS to GERD. I have no way to change that as I don’t handle the translation.

  3. Sebastian

Thank you for the response. Your explanation is accurate. When I went to your website and looked for GERD, for a brief second, the name shows GERDS, then gets changed to GERD. Hans GERDS is my sixth great grandfather. The SASS family, Joachim or Jochim Heinrich Sass (1781-1854) is my 2nd Great Grandfather, He married Anna Catharina Ilsabe EVERS, and if you trace her lineage, it takes you back to the GERDS with Hinrich EVERS married to Anna GERD (GERTSEN) as written on her marriage document. This a great website. I live in Nevada, U.S. now, but have been tracing my roots in the Bad Doberan, Mecklenburg-Schwerin area for some time. I will make sure that my records show GERDS as the correct spelling. Thanks for all your work.

  4. I see my last posting got the letter S removed from the GERD name in translation or GOOGLE did it, but I did spell the „GERDS“ correctly.
